Broccoli juice is a delicious way to get more of your favorite veggie into your diet. I love it with my morning smoothie, but you can also use it as a base for other recipes like soups and stews. If you’ve never tried making broccoli juice before, this article will show you how easy it is!

To prepare the broccoli juice, add the green apple, celery, cucumber and ginger to a blender and blend until smooth.

Add the broccoli florets to the blender and blend until smooth

If you’re using a Vitamix, add the florets to the blender first. If you have a different type of blender, just put the green apple and celery in the container before adding any other ingredients. Next add 1/4 cup water and blend until smooth.

Then add 1/2 cup water and blend until smooth again (this step is optional you can skip it if you want). Finally, add your grated ginger root and juice from about half of an orange (or other citrus fruit) over low speed until incorporated into your juice mixture; then increase speed to high for about 20 seconds or so until all ingredients are blended together well.

  • Set a fine mesh conical strainer over a large pitcher. Pour the broccoli juice into the pitcher and gently tap on the sides of the strainer to push out any remaining juice.
  • Place 1½ cups water in an electric juicer, then add 3 cups chopped broccoli heads (don’t peel them first). Juice is ready when it passes through your juicer’s strainer-even if you don’t have one!

You can also freeze the juice in ice cube trays, or pour it into ice pop molds. Then add them to smoothies and juices for a healthy dose of broccoli!
